Who We Are: High Desert Montessori School is a dynamic public Montessori Charter school that serves 500 students from 3 years old to 8th grade. We offer a free charter school for grades K-8 and a tuition based program for preschool aged children. We provide a safe, nurturing school environment that fosters independence, problem solving, and great works in our students. We encourage all of our students to be participating members of a socially-conscious and green community by inspiring them to be critical thinkers who are capable of reflection, communication, and action.

Where we are Located: HDMS is located in Reno, Nevada. Less than an hour from Lake Tahoe and just minutes from the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Reno offers easy access to a variety of sporting and outdoor activities and some of the most spectacular landscapes in the west. Reno hosts over 100 festivals a year and is rich in culture and events.

Who We Hire: Our school serves students from Primary through Middle School. We hire lead guides/teachers and assistants at all levels. We hire both trained Montessori teachers and certified teachers who are willing to attend Montessori training. We have a strong team of over 50 committed staff members.

What we Offer Our Employees: We offer tuition assistance for our teachers to attend Montessori training. We offer a competitive salary and an excellent benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance and membership in the Nevada Public Employees Retirement System.
