Financial Aid

Financial Aid

High Desert Montessori School offers a FREE public charter school for kindergarten through eighth grade and a tuition based program for preschool aged children.

We work with several organizations who offer eligible students partial and full funding for our tuition based Preschool Program and our Extended Day Programs.

The Nevada Ready Grant

High Desert Montessori School partners with the United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra (UWNNS). UWNNS partners with private early learning centers to provide free Pre-K to eligible families. Through their partnership with the Nevada Department of Education, UWNNS is able to provide high-quality early education to children who otherwise would not have access.

The Children't Cabinet

High Desert Montessori School partners with the Children’s Cabinet who offers eligible families a Child Care Subsidy through the Access Nevada Child Care Assistance Program. The Child Care Program assists low-income families, families receiving temporary public assistance, and those transitioning from public assistance in obtaining child care so they can work. Eligible families can obtain help with pre-K tuition and/or extended day programming.

Community Foundation of Northern Nevada

High Desert Montessori School is an approved school for the “Read with Me Scholarship”, overseen by the Community Foundation of Northern Nevada. The scholarship provides one year of preschool tuition at select preschools in Reno and Sparks for children who show an aptitude for reading.

Black Montessori Education Fund

The Black Montessori Education Fund (BMEF) believes that education has the power to positively transform lives. The BMEF envisions giving more access to educational approaches like Montessori, which places heavy value on the cultural, economic, moral, and spiritual development of all and seeks to support the holistic development of each individual to his or her fullest potential.

The Black Montessori Education Fund accepts applications each year throughout February, Black History Month, for qualifying families.
